Ingrid Clarfield, NCTM, a nationally recognized teacher, clinician, pianist and author, is professor of piano and coordinator of the piano department at Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, New Jersey. She has written 17 books that are published by Alfred Publishing Co., Inc. Clarfield maintains a private studio where her pre-college students have won numerous awards in state, national and international competitions resulting in performances in such venues as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital Hall, Kennedy Center, Merkin Concert Hall, Steinway Hall and several concert halls in Beijing. She has presented workshops, lecture-recitals and master classes in more than 100 cities across North America, including many presentations at state and national MTNA conferences and other major conferences and festivals. In 2012 she was awarded the prestigious MTNA Teacher of the Year award. In 2009 she was the firstrecipient of the New Jersey MTA Teacher of the Year award. In 2006, she was named an MTNA Foundation Fellow. Her life is the subject of the documentary, Take a Bow: The Ingrid Clarfield Story. |

Peter Mack, NCTM, born in Dublin, Ireland, is professor
of piano at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle,
Washington. He had his early training with Frank
Heneghan at the Dublin College of Music. Subsequent
study was at Trinity College, Dublin, and at the
University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of
Music, trained by Bela Siki, and the University of
Washington, where he earned his doctorate in piano
performance. Mack has performed throughout the
United States and Europe, as well as in Australia and
the former Soviet Union.
He is the winner of the
New Orleans, Young
Keyboard Artists and
Pacific International
Piano Competitions. His
prize in the
Sherman–Clay competition
included a Steinway
grand piano. Mack is
well-known for his extensive
repertoire, having
performed 25 concertos
with orchestras. The winner of several international
piano competitions, he in high demand as a performer,
teacher, adjudicator, conference artist and clinician.
Pupils of Mack are frequent winners of local,
national and international competitions. |

Greg Anderson and Elizabeth Joy Roe are perhaps the most thrilling young duo performing today, offering classical concerts that are revolutionizing the piano duo experience for the 21st century. Described as “Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers transposed from the dance floor to the keyboard” (The Southampton Press) and “the intense synchronization of genius” (ThirdCoast Digest), Anderson and Roe bring their joyous camaraderie and refined artistry to the concert stage, dazzling audiences around the world as a four-hand, two-piano team.
Anderson and Roe met in 2000 as freshmen at the Juilliard School where they both earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees. They formed their dynamic musical partnership shortly thereafter. They have since toured North America with notable performances in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Salt Lake City, St. Paul, Fort Worth, Milwaukee, Orlando and Washington, D.C., as well as in nearly every New York City venue imaginable, from Carnegie Hall to children’s hospitals. Together they have appeared on MTV and NPR, the Cliburn Concert Series, the Gina Bachauer International Piano Festival and dozens of summer chamber music festivals. The Anderson & Roe Piano Duo released their debut album, Reimagine, in 2008. |
