and Piano Pedagogy Forum

In 2000, GP3 launched its first meeting at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music as a grassroots forum with an emphasis on the practical aspects of teaching. In 2005, GP3 became a program of MTNA. The GP3 steering committee determines the mission, focus, purpose, program and location of each Forum, while MTNA provides programmatic, financial and administrative support. The GP3 mission:

GP3 Goals

• Share in concrete ways what we are doing in our day-to-day teaching
• Discuss how the direction of our field is affecting our approach to professional development, program initiatives, and teacher training
• Plan how we must contribute to the course of group piano and piano pedagogy now and in the coming years
