Advanced Piano Master Class

John Perry has given master classes across the globe. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the Eastman School of Music before receiving a Fullbright Scholarship and continuing his studies in Europe. Perry is professor at the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music, professor of piano at California State University Northridge, visiting artist faculty at Boston University, professor emeritus of the USC Thornton School of Music and is artistic director at Southern California Music Institute, which he founded. He has won many awards, including the highest prizes in both the Busoni and Viotti international piano competitions in Italy and special honors at the Marguerite Long International Competition in Paris.

Spencer Myer is one of the outstanding pianists of his generation. Celebrated by critics and audiences alike, he has performed in recitals, orchestras and festivals throughout the world. Myer won first prize in the 10th UNISA International Piano Competition in South Africa and also was Gold Medalist of the 2008 New Orleans International Piano Competition. Other honors include the 2006 Christel DeHaan Classical Fellowship from the American Pianists Association and the Jacob K. Javits Memorial Fellowship from the United States Department of Education. A graduate of the Juilliard School, he has served on the faculties of the Baldwin-Wallace College and Oberlin College conservatories of music.
